The rich colours of the fabrics, the hand made furniture and the gilded and painted Castillion beds combine to create a taste of the Orient. 

The floor is hand painted in a herringbone brick pattern with a Mediterranean influence and aroused so much curiosity with the Spanish neighbours during painting that they kept coming to see it and persisted on walking upon it before it was completely dry!
